Juakali comes from Swahili and means “the scorching, burning sun” - the intense heat of midday.

It is my favorite time of the day: when light is at its strongest, colors appear at their most vibrant, and everything seems filled with energy.

I have always felt a deep connection to light, warmth, and atmosphere. These influences continue to shape my work today.

The bold, luminous colors and dynamic compositions in my paintings are an  expression of this energy.

I love the sun, my cats and good whiskey - and the sense of discovery that comes with new places and perspectives. These influences subtly find their way into my work, adding warmth, openness, and a sense of movement to each piece.
